Embarrassing Holiday Fashion

A friend of mine just emailed around asking for embarrassing office party clothes stories and well, cute question. Here's mine: my first xmas at the current job there was an inhouse party, lots of festivities, and I was taking part by handing out presents while dressed as an elf. My boss and the director of human resources called me aside very serious faced, and for a fleeting moment I thought they were going to fire me (I was a temp, worried incessantly) while I was wearing a pointy jingle bell hat, knee high boots and a short red wool tunic. Turned out they wanted to bring me on full time, scared the life out of me though. The two beers I'd had likely didn't help but I maintain that people feel more vulnerable dressed as elves.
