Love love and more love

Well - good day. Wedding today was a short, sweet and marvelously attended affair in the fabulous venue of Canoe - can recommend it enough, as a venue, it has one of the best views in the city on the 54th floor of the TD tower. It's staff are friendly to the point you'd like to invite them to your next gathering, shindig or even hootenanny. And I have it on good authority that the food rocks too. I've done 5 weddings at Canoe but this is the first one where they hired out the whole facility and - marvelous - good adjectives - maybe a few good adverbs - all of the good. Bride and groom were both resplendent and very happy. I love my job. I also have no idea what to say to people when they say to me "lovely service". All I can say is that it's been an honour, a pleasure and I love my job. That walking people through their own vows has had me walking repeatedly through my own and in the past 4 years has helped my marriage. That it's something everyone should be able to do, at least once.
And on my way home, I got port. Because. And season one of Buffy. And earlier today got my cat repaired - ingrown claw, now fixed. And then also dinner with friends who bring corn and pie. And Jackson and Triggs Meritage, which is right up there with port. And their company, which is valued above all recreational substances. And arranged to give an unused student violin to a child. All in all, not as productive a day as I was hoping for, but not bad. Happy to have been a part of it.
