Weekend recap

So: Two beautiful weddings with two sets of beautiful men. Each were so accommodating of each other and sincere in their vows, both times I got all misty. The first set were a few years into their relationship, and had the whole wedding party dressed to the nines with a magazine worthy ensemble of clothes. A friend of theirs had ordained himself for the wedding in a church that proved unrecognized in Ontario. However, never one to turn down an opportunity to do something new we did the ceremony together with himself covering the blessings and myself covering the legal bits. All sorted and groovy and everyone was happy. The second wedding was for a couple who'd been together for 20 years, living with and loving each other and deciding to celebrate their anniversary in style. Grand affair with jazz music, drinks, historic building, casual atmosphere and generally a groovy time. They'd been commended to me by a guest from a city hall wedding last summer.
Movies with friends in the evening was a bust but it didn't matter - cider with friends was even better. Kinda coasted into Sunday with a brief launch at yard work followed by beer.
