Lt. Ripley has taken to singing at 2:30am. For an hour. Every. Fucking. Night.

Aww... Keykey likes to do that a lot too, actually. It's been one of her quirks since we've had her. Usually we can end it by calling for her, to which she'd happily prance into her room (possibly hoping for a positive review of her technique). You've tried to distract her when it happens?
A friend of mine had a cat who began doing that when she started to go deaf. The poor kitty simply couldn't hear herself. Have Ripley's ears been checked lately?
Hmmm. She hears us calling her while not singing, she hears the kibble door opening from a floor away, kibble on a dish is a sound that will get her from the third floor. However, she does seem pretty focused on her ears...she has attempted once or twice to clean them on our toes in our sleep, resulting in a return to out of season blankets because DAMN is that a weird thing to wake up to. We'll take her in as soon as we're able to get that checked and keep an eye on her in the mean time.

Yes. Doesn't work. She's very devoted to her music...
