Hey beautifuls
So, some of you smoke, some of you don’t.
If you do, you know there’s no vitamins in cigarettes. You may know there are reasons to quit that range from the very practical (two packs a week x $8 = nearly a grand that you’re rolling and smoking), to the “feels a little abstract” (heart disease, cancer), to the “really? Well, you can prove anything with statistics” (the possibility of type two diabetes complications and/or erectile dysfunction later in life).
If you don’t smoke, you may know someone who does and for the reasons above you may have tried to get them to quit. You know they won’t quit unless they want to, and nagging doesn’t help. But it may wig you that they roll pennies to buy something that’s got a stern chance of giving them cancer, heart disease or botherations of the junk.
Well, if you – the smoker – truly want to quit this year and if you – the non-smoker – are ready to throw yourself on the grenade of offering support, there’s a reason to buddy up and try quitting for at least a month right now. If said smoker says clean for March and if the non-smoker doesn’t go bibbilty and run of into the night, said smoker can win a car. And maybe you really need a car, to get about, get a job or visit your grandma. You can also trade the car in for valuable money that can then be traded in for other goods and services. A vacation, a down payment on a house or condo, or 100,000 bars of transparent soap - whatever, totally up to you. There’s other prizes for the smoker in the form of televisions to be won, and the brave non-smoking buddy can win stuff too. Not as much stuff, but still chance of prizes for doing what you’ve wanted to do for a while now.
It’s my understanding that smoking is harder to quit than most other addictive substances. I was never, thanks to a spastic nature, successful at lighting a cigarette without lighting myself, so I don’t know personally. Some of it may be the way it hooks into your brain, messes with your serotonin levels or fits nicely into a daily routine. Maybe it was that Bogart and Davis looked so cool. Maybe it’s that it truly is quite frankly one of the last enjoyable legal vices. Whatever the reasons for continuing, if you – the smoker again – really want to quit and have inviting reasons grazing on the other side of the fence, here’s two more:
1) Car
2) Televisions
Contest details are below, please forward with abandon to anyone you know who may qualify.
